They're back
We had a really old azalea bush at the front by the kitchen window which was the nesting area for a pair of brown thrashers for many years. As it died we decided to pull it up and I figured we would not see the thrashers again.
I was wrong. They are in the giant azalea in the front yard! Today I watched them get bugs from the yard and fly back to the bush. They were really too far away for my 300mm lens but I did want to document that I had seen them again this year.
A good day for bird watching!
