Purple rain, blue sky

From our base in Tavira we travelled to the village of Estoi, a place which holds very special memories of a family holiday more than twenty years ago.
So much has changed in our lives since then but despite the building work and inevitable 'development' the essence of Estoi still resonated with us (no doubt through the rose-tinted glasses favoured by our age-group!)
I took this photo while looking skywards from beneath this pretty 'purple rain' tree.
