Wet Day

We were lucky for the weather for our walk last evening - it had rained much of the day beforehand, and it's been even worse today. Decided to go to Bury St Edmunds as there were some things we needed - hadn't realised quite how bad the rain was going to be! After visiting some stores in the periphery we parked near the Abbey Gardens and had some lunch in the cafe attached to the cathedral before sallying forth into the town centre. It's a pleasant cafe in the modern extension at the side of the cathedral - the food's good & there are additional tables along the corridor at the side - perfect for sitting quietly, out of the way, with a very wet Welsh Springer. The Blip is a quick phone shot through the window - the glass isn't optically perfect, to fit in with the style of the cathedral itself, but it was very murky out there. The outdoor tables were unsurprisingly empty!
