Back blip

We went to A&E at our local hospital today as Bob's abscess was bleeding profusely last evening and although I had packed it up and the bleeding had stopped we thought we had better have it checked.

After triage, we waited for 8 hours to be seen, but eventually were seen and the doctor was not particularly concerned about the abscess but further tests revealed that Bob had an infection which was travelling through his body and his leg was swollen.  They decided that he needed to be admitted so that they could administer antibiotics by infusion, and so he ended up in a hospital bed.  Just have to wait to see what the outcome is.
