Mixed fortunes

So my house is sold - or at least I have accepted an offer on it. The buyer wants to get the sale through asap and so my hunt is on for a new home. I have a shortlist of available, affordable homes which meet my preferred criteria and started off with choice no 1 which I viewed this morning. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, it was raining heavily and that showed up a whole lot of issues with damp, drainage and possibly subsidence. I haven’t totally written it off, but I’ll need to think very carefully about the costs involved. Anyway, I’ve made appointments to view a few others and I’m hoping that I’ll soon be sorted
