My soul mate L under my hat!

Auntie was up just after the Lark this morning, a fresh cream chocolate eclair had been devoured before I could recite the Lord’s Prayer.
A cup of Redbush tea for us both was enjoyed with banter and some memories from Auntie regarding her life as an orthopaedic nurse and some memories about her wedding day (we had been looking at photos in her wedding album).
I decided that it was time to get the area surrounding auntie’s recliner tidied up and so I found a more suitable table and removed the two cluttered ones. I moved her reading lamp to the opposite side of her chair and bingo everything was in harmony.
Egg custard, banana and medication time with more fascinating memories from auntie. I ran the vacuum cleaner around the ground floor and tidied the kitchen up before my soulmate arrived to chat and pray over a fruit tea. (Prepared by L in the camper van.)
We had a nice long walk with Logan across the commons to the Puffing Billy and fika.
A slightly more brisk walk home (without my hazel staff and with L sporting my headwear) you as L had a lunch date with her best friend H.
Auntie had been out with her enabler and enjoyed sausage mashed potatoes and beans, I enjoyed some surimi on sourdough with a very ripe avocado.
Whilst auntie had 40 winks I popped up into town to get a few items.
On my return I suggested that we go to the old bowling green for an ice cream (Hockings of course) and purchase a large tub for the freezer. Logan came too and tore about only like a whippet can!
Again auntie reminisced about her first ice cream from the “same van” back in the late 1950’s!
Back via the chemist to collect aunties latest sack of medication and some ointment for her sore gums. I helped her sort out her dentures and prepared a supper of poached eggs and fresh ham for us both.
I chatted to my eldest son Ben in Canada who was able to advise me on a possible purchase of an iPad so that auntie would be able to see the photos I take of the surrounding countryside. I was able to source an iPhone 13 for L and secured it’s purchase online and ready for collection tomorrow afternoon from Barnstaple.
I performed the second round of my Pilates program before the final warm drink accompanied by a small slice of ginger cake. (McVities of course)
Just another day not in the office.
