From the lofty heights ..

.. of Shrewsbury School. What a brilliant location it has, above the river and looking across to the Quarry (the park), and town.
Famously (at least in Shropshire circles), attended by Charles Darwin, Michael Palin - and other notables!
Started the day with an outing with my sister in law and her friends to the local allotments for a plant sale, cup of tea and cake! I managed not to buy any plants but was very tempted. The allotments were great - I love seeing how everyone deals with their little bit of land. It’s a busy time for gardening and there was evidence of lots of hard work.
In the afternoon we pounded the streets of Shrewsbury again. It was a lovely sunny afternoon and the Quarry was busy with friends and families out enjoying the weather.
