Squally showers
JJ and I went to Kresen Kernow this morning for my booked time on a microfiche looking at old wills. I found both that I had been looking for but they are very faint and will be hard to decipher, but I’ve got them, which is what matters.
As I was engrossed I heard a voice say “Black Tulip”? and I knew immediately it was WharfedaleBex, who is down here meeting up with friends but who had found time to seek me out. I have looked forward to meeting her for years and it was such a lovely surprise. We didn’t spend long together and hopefully we can meet up again, perhaps when we’re in Yorkshire.
We had lunch in Marazion overlooking the sea and the Mount, or we would have had a view if the wild flowers hadn’t been so tall. We had a squally walk along the beach before heading back to the car to wait for the rain to clear and then walked into the village and got wet again.
On our way back to Illogan we stopped at M&S for a bit of retail therapy and bits of food.
With a bit of luck we’ll get a walk in this evening, if the rain holds off, and I do wish the wind would die down.
I’ve added an extra of a surfer fighting the elements.
