all the pieces came together to get the Polaroid Land Cameras up and running. We needed a baguette for the chicken salad I made, so we headed over to Ryan's Grocer. Unfortunately, they were out of bread, but Leah and I ran through two packs of film for the Polaroid--some winners, some losers. But on the route to Zio's for a quick pint, I ran into this character Eric. Michael and I had met him one night at the Bull & Bush--real crazy cat. Super friendly and always likes to say things like "come here so I can put my paw on you" (translation: let me give you a high five). He was sitting on the patio of the Boiled Owl with his Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned, with his tiny shorts, sipping on a cold beer and smoking cigarettes. He smelled like whiskey. He had really long fingernails. He went to art school. I told him I saw him when we drove by and thought he looked like was "living the dream." "That's right, man," he says, "L.T.D."
L.T.D. Eric: I'm sure we'll cross paths again.
A series in progress: (?) Digital Portraits of People Holding Their Analogue Portraits (or something like that).
