Low Fruit Hanging

I've been out in the garden in the late afternoon getting a little sun and working on a jazz song, working title of which is 'Messing Me Around'. I'm having fun with it because it's always challenging starting a storyline from scratch, weaving syllables into sounds and creating the story into something meaningful. So, here I am writing and I see the lemon tree in the corner of the garden. Knowing it was about time that I should take my blip, I went over and had a good look at the tree.

What caught my attention were some lemons looking as if they formed some kind of planetary configuration. This started me thinking about how they looked suspended in mid air and that, whilst many of them were tucked high into the trees branches and foliage, these five were the low-hanging fruit of the family, the irreverent ones:-).

Just having some fun, but nice fun. So, I am now trying to write lyrics around 'low hanging fruit'.

Ah, the challenges of the English language.
