Self-Portrait With Wheel

Today another member of our household had told us they had booked a table for brunch at somewhere we have never tried before - Desh in West Malling. It serves authentic Indian and Bangladeshi food with a modern twist by fusing it with local produce.
When we arrived we were greeted warmly and shown straight our table. The restaurant itself is a lovely calm, comfortable space and beautifully decorated, and as it was a warm day the bifold doors were open on to the street with outside tables for those wishing to watch the world go by with their food and drink.
There were four of us, including our friend A, and we settled on choosing from the brunch menu. Three of us had Kolkata style chilli chicken Kathi wraps and masala coated chips and the other had a singhara chaat - potato stuffed pastries, fired and topped with green chutney, yoghurt, tamarind and chickpea vermicelli. All the food was perfectly cooked, delicious and with just the right level of spicing. Me and my brother also managed to share a slice of utterly delectable pistachio cheesecake. The service was excellent being both warm and friendly. We'll definitely be returning.
Unfortunately, the rest of the day went downhill from that point. We had assumed, very much wrongly at it turned out, that we were being treated to our brunch by the aforementioned member of our household but when it came to paying the bill they had already divided it by four.
Me and my brother buy, prepare, cook and serve up food (and if we're really lucky wash up all the dishes too) for what must be 355 days a year so we thought that this might be a small thank you for all the money, time and effort we put in but apparently not. To rub salt into the wound later in the evening the said household member just made themselves something to eat (with the food that we had bought), left their dishes in the sink and went to bed. Sorry I know that was a bit of a rant but I just had to get it off my chest!
Needless to say I wasn't much in the mood for getting my shot for the day after that until I saw the long shadows being cast by the late evening sun. So this is me standing in the middle of the road outside our house whilst trying to get my shot one-handed. I just like the odd angles with the added element of that car wheel in the top right hand corner.
