Finally, a bed!

I had a phone call from Iris’s brother in Florida yesterday telling me she’d phoned to say she was waiting for an ambulance as her breathing was really bad again.

I left her yesterday evening on a trolley in the corridor of A & E Majors. No bed, no bay free. But she was responding well to immediate treatment for a bad chest infection.

Today I found her in a bay where she’d eventually been taken last night. This afternoon when I visited she was moved to a ward. Hopefully just overnight…

In the bed next to her is a lady called Sandra Bullock! Iris announced her namesake is a well know Welsh opera singer. That ward will be lively tonight!

The rest of the day happened too. It’s time for bed and sleep.
