On Your Marks
The weather was too good to last! We did a walk from Thorpeness to Aldeburgh across the North Warren reserve. It was overcast right from the start, but about ¾ of the way into the walk, it started to rain. We saw quite a few birds on the reserve. As we walked along the path that divides the shingle from the road, we noticed that the whole area had been invaded by snails - hundreds of them - on the plants and benches. We continued into Aldeburgh and adjourned to the Two Magpies cafe for a delicious lunch, then stopped off on the way back for some seafood treats from one of the fish huts on the beach.
