An important document

I managed to get the market shopping done before the heavens opened. I met Martin at French conversation and he has forwarded me all the important historical documents relating to Mrs White, the proprietor of the Hotel d’Angleterre, which he now runs as a bed and breakfast. She protected many Jews and English airmen during the war and helped them cross into Spain. Her daughter was interviewed in the 70s by a friend of mine who has since moved and in the 90s by two American residents at the hotel. Their accounts have never been published, but are fascinating. I have blipped one page of about twenty that shed light on her activities and life in the village during the war. I will pass the documents on to a couple of people who I know, will make good use of them.
