Old habits
This morning I had a wander around my old place of work. This path through the grounds always brought to mind Charles Darwin's Sandwalk. The Sandwalk was a track near to Down House, his home in Kent – he called it his "thinking path". Every day, once in the morning and again in the afternoon, Darwin would stroll and reflect amongst the privet and hazel, often accompanied by his fox terrier.
I often strolled along our path, hopeful that great thoughts might come to mind; they never arrived! They didn't arrive today, either! Still, the bluebells were putting on a good show.
You can see a photograph of Darwin's walk here.
