Valentine’s Day
I visited Waitrose at lunchtime to take advantage of their Valentine's Dinner for £20 offer. Initially, I was slightly disappointed with the selection—and the pushy man in front of me—until I found a less well-signposted section on the other side of the chiller cabinet. It's a shame we had chicken Kiev and cauliflower cheese yesterday, as they were two options and looked substantial. But our Cornish cheddar and caramelised shallot tarts, slow-cooked steak and red wine pie, potatoes, and Shiraz were delicious.
In the evening, I went to Tai Chi, which I just about made because of a late train. On the way, I listened to Steve Wright's edition of Radio One Vintage, which reminded me what a superb broadcaster he was.
Then, I hurried back to see PY for our Valentine's dinner. As our evening treat, we decided to start the new series of Only Murders In The Building. We're already hooked.
