"Look, Andrew, your mum's taking your photo."
A crazy day. I organised today's Civic Week Parade and School Fair, got most things right except the weather. It felt awful sending Andrew off on his own to go to the parade, but - hey! - it's not every day you get picked up from school in a limo. I was so proud of him.
Just after the crowning, it started to rain, ark-building kind of rain. But most of our crowd stayed and partied anyway. A pretty good day, considering, with takings over £4K. A friend, Nick, very kindly took Andrew and George round the fair with his kids, they had a ball. I asked George what his favourite part of the day had been and he said, "walking home in the rain with Daniel".
Matthew was off today for his pal, Lewis's, birthday treat to the Time Capsule where they went swimming and ice skating. I missed him, feels like he's growing up too fast, off doing those kind of things without us. Better get used to it, I guess.
