Audley End

My wife and I visited Audley End today. It's not the first time that we have been here, but our previous visit was nearly 41 years agn on our honeymoon!

The current house is about 400 years old and was much larger, but debts to the sovereign meant that it began to fall into disrepair and some of it had to be demolished. We had a guided tour of the house and spent some time in the gardens, including visiting the stables.
