Costies

Costies Billiard Hall is no longer. It was such a handy wee place, served everything from pies to ice cream, bread to matches, and was open at all sorts of odd hours. It had a couple of billiard tables in there too, with low lights hanging over them, in the dimness at the back of the shop. It has had a couple of re-incarnations since then, but now it is the base for the local Home Start parental support group.

Spotted the lovely old stained glass sign today when we were coming back from swimming. Don't think I've ever realised it was there before and yet when I worked at the hospital, I walked past it at least once a week!
