Red Campion
The flowers are a distinctive pink-red in colour with five petals that are fused at their base to form a tube surrounded by a purple-brown calyx.
Red Campion is a good source of food for moths, bees and butterflies. Plenty of plants growing round the Heritage Park.
So much rain last night that I thought I might need a drawbridge to leave the house this morning but mercifully the huge puddle had miraculously disappeared by the time I went out this morning.
