once upon a time

Once upon a time, I could squat down on my haunches and take a picture such that the green ball was sharply focussed and the background rendered tastefully out of focus.  

I would probably have used my trusty camera with a fast lens and a flip-up screen, to achieve the desired affect.

The flip-up screen is long gone, much like my knees.  Now I bend down as far as I can and hope for the best. 

A few bits of the gravelly foot path appear sharp on my large screen. So best viewed small.
