The things we do

Long day at work, get home at 6.15pm, get told by daughter that she wants to enter cake competition for school's 60th Birthday. Bake cake, stick in fridge to cool so daughter can ice and decorate. Help daughter ice and decorate and tell he it's lovely. Finally get daughter to bed at 9pm (on a school night!!!)

Son goes off to High School induction alone. Texts to say he got there (Phew!) Texts to say he is leaving school and going to friends house to play on Xbox. Text son to tell him he needs to be home by 6pm. Son phones every 30 mins from 6pm to extend the curfew. Son eventually arrives home at 8.10pm.

Kids...who'd have them?!
