Mullaghmore

There are number of marked trails in the Burren and more than one around Mullaghmore. One of them, the Loch Avalla loop, is a lovely walk facilitated by the Dutch owner of the Loch Avalla Farm, who also serves teas and coffee in a beautiful setting. The walk takes about one or two hours and wanders through hazel scrub, over limestone pavements. It is one of my favourite walks in the Burren.

Today's blip is Mullaghmore from the Loch Avalla trail, showing the elegant sweep of its limestone terraces. The extra is a purple orchid and some Herb Robert among the limestone.
