Trip South East out of town to Schmöckwitz where we took the ferry across the Lange See. We walked along the shore of the lake through the forest for a few kilometers. We then turned inland and climbed first the Big Müggelberg which stands at a whopping 114.7m above sea level and walked along the ridge to the small one (88m). The small Müggelberg features a beer garden and tower. We obviously stopped for a beer and climbed the tower. The views are great. You could make out the place I took the panorama from which is somewhat to the right of this picture. On the very left of this picture you can make out the Teufelsberg. We then walked down the hill past the Teufelssee (a different one) and took a bus into Köpenick, then tram and S Bahn home. As always all transport including the ferry was included in our Deutschland Ticket. It is such a good thing. We will definitely go back there.
