Walking into work on a beautifully balmy Friday morning, and despite the fact that this is the main road across the top of Bedford, more here-to-there than stopping by, this cosily optimistic table for two to sit and have coffee watching the traffic in a spot unlikely to catch any sun stopped me in my tracks. Yes, the cafe isn't even open yet and so yes, this table and chairs must've been left out all night and it just reminded me so much of places in Greece where a table and chairs are in the street because why wouldn't you want to stop in the shade with a friend and watch the world pass by?
