Old Wings

I cut my paths in the garden today using the old Husquvarna ride-on. It was very satisfying as it accentuated the lushness of the uncut grass. Some of the grasses are sending up seedheads and the bugs love perching on them.

The very battered peacock butterfly seemed to appreciate the long  grass. It took a shine to me too, settling on my shirt and on my lens many times. As I returned to the house to start preparing our meal, this Dakota flew straight overhead. I think the angle I've caught it at makes it look quite elegant. It is probably Pegasus The Ghost of Arnhem which belongs to Aero Legends at North Weald.
