Badminton Show Jumping

Back to Badminton today to watch the show jumping which is the final part of the three day event.  I managed to get a shot of Zara again and she's smiling because that particular fence was proving a bit tricky and she's obviously pleased her lovely horse 'Class Affair' had cleared it.  In the end she came 16th overall which is really good.  To put that in context, only 37 of the original field of 80 odd starters even made it to the show jumping stage.  It's a very tough event and only the very best get to compete.  Fingers crossed Team GB will do well at the Olympics in Paris.

When we arrived at the main arena to go to our seats, we saw a few police officers standing near the Royal box, as well as a sniffer dog and his handler going up to check the seating.  We assumed that Princess Anne would have been the guest of honour, seeing as Zara was competing, but it turned out to be the Queen instead!  See a very poor shot of her in extras as she arrived in the arena.
