Immersive performance

The children gifted Mr C (and I) this immersive evening of dining and a Sherlock Holmes performance.

Rebecca and Adam had been to one at the same venue but it was a different theme, a 1920s speakeasy jazz club, and thought we would enjoy it too.

We were greeted with an invite from Dr John Watson to a press conference at 221b Baker Street and made our way through corridors to the door.  Once in we were seated at our table to be shared with two other couples.  One couple (seen in pic with Mr C) came from Norwich and were steam punk fans so came in period costumes (quite a few of the audience dressed up to… great fun).  Mr C and the chap happily chatted about different genres of music and who we’ve seen perform.  The other couple arrived.  A younger couple who live not too far from us.

We ordered drinks and after our starters the performance began.  The actors are constantly moving around the venue and walking through the audience as did the two cellists and violinist.  They then pause the play to allow us our main meal and again for desserts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Extra of some of the performance and also more of the aurora from last night as I was excited to upload whilst in bed last night on my phone but couldn’t add extras.
