On the Cotswold Way

Heading uphill out of Stanway on the way to Hailes Abbey and looking back to the Malvern Hills. Hot day (up to 26C) and a stiff climb indeed. Met a guy on the way round who was on his way to John O'Groats (but had never encountered the Midge, God Bless 'im, - good luck up north in September, mate), and also George Knight and his missus, who lives in Winchcombe and is an actual Cotswold inhabitant born and bred. I'd listened to Chris Wood singing "The Cottagers Reply" last night and it hit the spot. Good Cider at the Hailes Fruit Farm cafe by the way...
