Empty chairs

This row of empty deckchairs was taken early this morning in Embankment Gardens in London. It reminded me of the painting in Tate Britain by Walter Sickert- Brighton Pierrots -which has a row of empty deckchairs in the front - a comment on the fact that all the young people who should be watching the Pierrots perform are away fighting in WW1.
