MAGPIE (PICA PICA)

We went to Hanningfield reservoir this morning. When we first arrived there was a family of six magpies, feeding under the feeders outside the visitor centre but by the time I had located the camera they had all flown up into the trees, except this one.
The other interesting spot was a female Red- crested Pochard with TWELVE very small young. At the time they were swimming by, the camera battery failed and by the time I had changed it the family had passed. I was obviously having a day of "what might have been!!"
We watched the Men's Wimbledon semi-finals in the afternoon.
