This afternoon a Cown Edge walk in warm air and light breeze I soon got too hot - pathetic.

I counted 21 singing Skylarks

earlier on the day 8:10am. A walk to Mossy Lea Farm and I was rewarded by seeing a pair of Cuckoo - distant views followed by a flypast almost over my head before they headed to the moorland . The Pipits were then in protest but I soon heard the strange bubbling call of the female Cuckoo, I think they will soon be looking to lay same eggs in the Pipits s nests.
