Happy returns...

Very nice to be at the Oval for the return of genuinely warm weather on the first day of Surrey v Warwickshire. Surrey fans were also pleased to welcome back the very popular Australian bowling all-rounder Sean Abbott, who picked up a wicket in his second over. At one stage it looked as though Warwickshire were going to be bundled out for a fairly low score, but late resistance led by Ed Barnard, who made an unbeaten 96, saw them to 318 for eight at the end of the day.
