Lake Derborence
The road which almost goes to this lake, opened today, so it seemed a good objective for a fine day and it was beautiful up there as always. Francoise and I made a rdv and set off to do our different forms of photography coming together for a picnic lunch. It was so delightful listening to streams full of meltwater and so many birds singing. We checked out the Lady’s Slipper Orchids (much too early) and searched the usual area for the Bearded Vulture nesting site on the way down the valley again. We have spotted it but shall have to go on a later day to wait for some action. I had to get back for Preston. A neighbour was feeding him at lunchtime but leaving him in his cage with no company for the whole day, didn’t sit too well with me. He was very glad to see me arrive back home.
