On the way to Red Dog…..

Chambered Cairn and these woods were full of grazing pigs, Blackcock and a Cuckoo. Idyllic, with hot sun. Met a helpful and interesting man, with a beard reaching to his chest feeding his sheep, miles from anywhere! He instructed me to drive down a muddy track through the woods. Eventually I parked and walked the rest of the way, as it was delightful. Later, encountered an even older lady who lived in an even more remote area beyond the cairn! The cairn was interesting, Iron Age, quite well preserved in an area of hut circles and other archaeological delights!
