Having a go…

…..at reinstating the tv aerial at our friends UK home. It had become dislodged during one of the recent storms. D is not easily thwarted and brought a boot-full of tools to help with this job. It’s secure now but we think a new one will be necessary.

A good day doing various jobs while also enjoying this wonderful spell of good weather. D has installed the Merlin bird app and it’s quite amazing! It’s so quiet here that birdsong is the only sound during much of the day so we’ve educated ourselves and are able to recognise more of the different songs.

Out to visit other friends this afternoon then dinner at Gomshall Mill later. A gift of two days in the beautiful Surrey Hills in glorious sunshine.

Good to have messages back from Oliver who’s finding this week of exams very stressful. It’s brought to mind the many students who are struggling in this way, the son of one friend in particular. Mental health problems and not enough help.
