Lily of the valley

I get tense before I travel but my planning should give me abundant time for minor emergencies. If all goes to plan I will be terribly bored in an airport before the end of the day.

Yesterday Marjorie Green tried to punish the Speaker of the House for allowing Ukraine aid to be voted on. She introduced a measure that would strip him of the speaker-hood. It was doomed. Only two representatives had said out loud that they would support her. The Democrats had hinted earlier in the process that if he were “punished” like this for allowing the aid package to come to a vote that they’d protect him. They did. “ Lawmakers loudly booed Ms. Greene as she called up the resolution and jeered several times as she read it aloud. As she recited the measure, a grievance-laden screed that lasted more than 10 minutes, Republicans lined up on the House floor to shake Mr. Johnson's hand and pat him on the back.”


India arrested four men for duping Indians into fighting for Russia with promises of high-paying jobs or academic spots. Other South Asian countries have put out warnings to their citizens. 


Newsweek has a headline:  As Ukraine gets F-16s, Russian forces plead for shotguns

The point is that Ukraine uses many more drones than Russia, because it is what they have and can get, and Russians have found that shotguns are the best at fighting drones. Russian soldiers are on social media begging people to send them shotguns.
