In the Dutch Mountains

We increasingly spot hikers with full packs. There is probably no greater contrast between all the road users we encountered this morning. I am annoyed by MTB cyclists on the steep, narrow muddy footpaths and by the electric over-70s on the same path. Without a helmet, because they usually cycle in the flat Netherlands.
The mud is still wet from the heavy rains recently. We keep getting pushed aside by the sound of their bicycle bell. Oh, it so irritating!

I like to see more and more hikers with their packs. Perhaps the Limburgerland is meant for hikers only.
