First of the Year!
I spent some time at the new house today trying to tame some of the overgrown ivy. It has choked other plants as it's such a brute of a plant.
How I managed to see this damselfly in the hedge I don't know. It must has just caught my eye. I think it it was fairly newly emerged as it didn't seem to want to fly. I hope it came out of the pond as that would be another species to add to the list that I've seen.
Not brilliant images as it was too windy to focus stack. But I was really pleased to see it.
My other half was walking from home in Newcastle-under-Lyme to the new house as a training walk.
I arranged for a friend to visit the house. So we all sat in the garden talking about future retirement plans. She was off on a few holidays and trips as she only finished work earlier this year. I think we've got the garden to keep us occupied for a while...
