Good morning - Marfells Beach

Lovley sleep last night and woke feeling very refreshed.  A look out of the window showed me that the 'weather'coming up the country was about to arrive - lots of heavy, low clouds which were racing northwards.  The sun glinting through every now and again though looked hopeful (and well w orthy of an early blip capture) and it wasn't long before 'the weather' blew past and sunshine followed.  Well, for a period anyway.  Lovley drive down to Kaikoura - a bit of rain in places, and the wind was a bit 'fresh' but it was mostly fine.  Stepping outside though it was quickly apparent that the promised cold was here.  Plenty of snow on the Kaikoura ranges (extra) and talk of lots of minus temperatures overnight around the South Island.  Loving the van heater!!  Stopping at Conway Flat tonight - the sound of Pacific waves metres away will be my lullaby.
