Bakewell Raft Race

One of the super events during Bakewell Carnival week is the raft race.
This year on a gorgeous summers evening there were over a 120 entries and the winning entry of a lorry was something to behold.
As I was recently staying at the house 'Silverholme Manor' where Arthur Ransome stayed and used as part of the inspiration for Swallows and Amazons, here's a fitting tribute from this evening to that great adventure.
