Collars

The project I am working on just now is based around cattle collars. These clever devices help to control where cattle graze without the need for fencing. They have a photo cell on them to keep them charged. They are connected through the satallite to a phone app . Basically you draw the fences on the map on the phone app and as the cow gets near a fence the collar emits a noise which the cow knows means turn around and go no further. They work well for keeping cattle from grazing areas you don't want them to graze such as woodlands. They also aid animal welfare because you can see on the app where the cow is at all times and if it stops moving, for a length of time, the phone rings you to ask you to check on the animal, great for a cow stuck in a bog.
