Bee fly feeding on the lungwort flowers

I trekked through the long grass, the extensive and tall cow parsley and found the lungwort which has spread around the lower part of the garden. I do like its pretty little flowers and have been reminded that it makes a good herbal remedy for lung problems which I’ve been susceptible to again in recent weeks, and not quite thrown off completely.

I also found that several flying insects were attracted to it as well, including this rather large bee fly. Having got a picture of it in flight I think this might be a suitable candidate for this week’s Tiny Tuesday, having discovered this morning that Incredibish is hosting it. I feel like joining in.
