Shy blue

The first of the blue poppies are out.  A bit of a surprise as I usually can spot the buds filling up and the petals beginning to burst through.  They are so welcome and there are lots of strong colours around in the garden at the moment so a theme might be pursued over the next few days.  The grass looks horrible though and I thinkI might have to reseed again - the last seed doesn't seem to have caught.  There are a number of fat sparrows around though...
