Safety At Sea, Old And New.
After we dropped Sophie at school we had our first walk at Burnham in a while.
The local coastguard seemed to be trying out their search and rescue hovercraft. Burnham is notorious for its sinking ‘sand’ (aka mud) and rapid tides which sadly have caught out a number of unwary walkers (never seen anyone swimming at Burnham!) and the hovercraft is the quickest and most effective way of reaching them on the mudflats.
I like the old and new contrast with the Victorian wooden lighthouse in the background. As both are pretty solid, I’ve tagged it for today’s challenge.
Of course, we had to have breakfast at Wetherspoon’s!
