An Gorta Mór i n-Éirinn

I’d somehow missed this memorial to the Great Irish Famine on the perimeter wall of Hyde Park Barracks. Today the sunlight picked out the names inscribed on the glass - Irish women and girls who emigrated during the famine and were housed here until they found employment.
