Tilting (my lens) at Windmills
After spotting some topiary from the road on our way home a couple of weeks ago, we learnt that they are part of Clipsham Yew Tree Avenue, which is open to the public. So this afternoon we returned and walked the length of the avenue admiring the topiary. A group of local volunteers have taken on the restoration project, but employ professionals to do the annual cutting. We've decided to donate to the project, which is a registered charity. From on high a red kite watched us as we made our progress along the avenue. (See Extra.) The charity has provided picnic tables, so I hope we'll return en famille in due course.
