Sugar Boat

What we thought was a submarine being escorted by the naval minesweeper HMS Hurworth, was in fact the wreck of the Greek vessel MV Captayannis which sunk in a storm in 1974 whilst trying to deliver sugar to Greenock. Known by locals as the Sugar Boat, there’s even a nearby restaurant with that name.
