Life through the lens...

Peekaboo

I had intended to photograph the new leaves unfurling on the copper beech tree, but as I was looking out of the small bedroom window I noticed two blue tits darting in and out of the bird box at the bottom of our neighbour’s garden.
It was very difficult getting a photo and this is the only one out of several which captured the bird.
Not very good as it was too far away for my little lumix.
However nice as a record for me.

The young wood pigeons have left the nest in the holly bush. Not noticed them, but they are probably as big as the parents.

No sign of the wren. I wonder if they are sat on some eggs. I hope so.

It has been a beautiful afternoon.
No problem with thunderstorms here but unfortunately some homes flooded by flash floods in other parts of Yorkshire.
Not by rivers overflowing but drains that just couldn’t cope.
Unfortunately you just don’t know where it will strike next.
