Feeding da Lasses
A lovely calm day, but that mist has been hanging around all day. It did lift for a bit in the afternoon, but pea soup out there again tonight.
Day off, thank goodness, sounds like another hellish day for travelling via the airport. Up early, a few chores done around the house, then headed to the peat hill. All peats cast for the year, although the bank looks a mess with the poor quality bank. Nipped down to mam's in the afternoon, Laura, Elise and Jonny in. Popped by Madeline's on my way home. Working in the shop this evening, and a fairly quiet night for a change. A quick pint on my way home.
Elise was late slipping the ram to the ewes last year, the heavily pregnant lasses aren't far away from lambing now. She's been keeping them fed with extra treats, good for pregnant sheep and hopefully have strong lambs again. As Elise approached, the ewes kept their eyes on her, came charging up when they heard the nibbles being sorted into their plates. Amy and Winehouse eager for a treat from Elise, Aith, Cunningsburgh.
